From The Curator

People, Places & Trains

Friends of the Museum,

The year of 2023 has been full of challenges and blessings for the South Dakota State Railroad Museum (SDSRM).

From my curator’s standpoint, I am very thankful for the year that we have enjoyed here at the Museum. While there have been the normal “ups and downs,” I am happy to report that the SDSRM has experienced a good 12 months.

I would like to wish to thank and recognize our incredible Board of Directors (past and present) for their knowledge, stewardship, vision, and humor in guiding the SDSRM.

And to you, our dedicated members and volunteers - my deepest gratitude.

As we begin our 15th year of welcoming visitors to the South Dakota railroading experience, I look forward to a busy and productive 2024 on your behalf at the Museum.

I wish to thank you all for your friendship, partnership, and support of the SDSRM. May the coming year be a healthy and blessed year for you and your family.

Onward!

Rick Mills
